New Centre Manager Welcomed
Pauli Surtees commenced as our new Manager on the 12th April. Pauli was welcomed to our community with a mihi whakatau by representatives from Te Rereatukahia Marae led by Kaumātua Kereama Bluegum.
Pauli is originally from Wellington where she worked across Government agencies representing housing, justice and education facilitating projects for community based social and specialist housing, working with Treasury to fund justice sector initiatives, and working with schools to manage school infrastructure assets. Most of the projects she has undertaken have been in partnership with the community and for community-led solutions.
Pauli moved to Waihi Beach six years ago and currently lives in Waihi with her husband. She loves the climate in the BOP and will get in as much fishing and hiking as they can, weather permitting.
The Board believes that Pauli brings a positive management style and significant valuable community experience to the role and wishes her the very best.
