I’m a Bay of Plenty local and grew up in Tauranga, now living on a lifestyle block in Pahoia with my husband James and two children Grace (8yrs) and Jimmy (7yrs). My previous role as founder and manager of Awhina House (transitional housing for homeless women) gave me unique insight into some of the challenges faced by people in need seeking support and the barriers to accessing it.
It’s my hope that I can be a bridge to help people access the support they need. I love to bring people together and believe in the power of community to build relationships and support those who are vulnerable.
In my weekends I enjoy getting outdoors with my family, stand up paddleboarding and curling up with a good book.
