**RATs are now available to members of the public if you develop symptoms or become a Household Contact of a case.**
Free rapid antigen tests (RATs) are being rolled out to community testing centres around the country.
Community collection sites are shown on this website here.
The collection will be for both general and critical workers. The general public can arrive during the operating hours without completing any order online beforehand. The link below for ordering beforehand only applies to critical workers.
Critical workers
If you are a fully vaccinated critical worker who has been identified as a Household Contact, but you do not have any symptoms, you can get free RATs under the Close Contact Exemption Scheme.
If you are a critical worker, you can get free RATs under the Close Contact Exemption Scheme by ordering online and picking them up from a collection site. You will need to be able to show:
• your verification letter for the CCES programme (from MBIE)
• personal ID (for example, your driver licence)
• Close Contact verification (text message or NZ COVID Tracer app alert).
