The Katikati Community Centre thanks Shona Graham for her 25 years involvement with the organisation.
Shona has been an essential part of the Community Centres journey and success, often volunteering her time in events and projects the Centre is involved in.
Shona started as a volunteer helping with a float for the Lions Christmas Parade and this followed with her involvement in the School Holiday Programme. Shona has been involved in the holiday programme almost from the start (1996) while pregnant with Phoebe her 2nd daughter. Shona is still very involved today as a much-loved tutor in the Holiday Programme.
As well as the Holiday programme Shona also works in the Katikids After School Programme as the supervisor, where she has seen many families pass through the door and made some lifelong friends.
Away from the Katikati Community Centre Shona enjoys tending to her impressive veggie garden, spending time at the beach walking and swimming and if not, outside she’ll be chilling out with a good book or cooking up a tasty feed on the Barbie.
